A new grill in Gretna

By Uncategorized

Gretna, Nebraska is getting a new grill. PepperJax is opening its second location in Gretna, Nebraska this month. They are currently hiring final positions for their grand opening team and will begin training soon.

The first Gretna location is located at the Nebraska Crossing Mall. The new location is a free-standing building located at 620 S Hwy 6 in front of the new Fareway grocery store and features a drive thru with dual service lines. The set-up allows them to maintain their open kitchen service model for dine-in guests and a grilled, fresh-to-order line, for drive thru customers.

The location they opened in September off of I-80 and 144th street has the exact same layout as their new Gretna site. “It’s the best of both worlds,” says Erin Palladino, Chief Operating Officer. “We have been testing different proto-types and the one thing we know, is our guest expects the open and transparent kitchen,” Palladino continues. And the new design is considered the future for the brand. Outside of opening new locations, PepperJax will refresh existing locations to showcase the new brand look.

MORE GRILLS TO COME!

The growth isn’t stopping in Gretna. PepperJax is set to open a new location off of 204th and Maple Street in Omaha, Nebraska next summer. They also recently signed for a new free-standing location in Sioux City, Iowa that will open in the fall of 2023.

PEPPERJAX CELEBRATES CHEESESTEAKS

By Events

PEPPERJAX GRILLS UP A BUY ONE, GET ONE HALF-OFF TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL CHEESESTEAK DAY.

National Cheesesteak Day and PepperJax go hand-in-hand. Afterall, their philly cheesesteak is what put them on the map 20 years ago. It all started with an idea to grill fresh and a secret family seasoning – the PepperJax philly cheesesteak was born.

When PepperJax originally started, guests could only order a steak or chicken philly. Today, guests can choose from their signature steak, chicken, pulled pork, or sliced Italian sausage option. And at this time of year, they often offer their spin on the Reuben with a Reuben philly. It’s grilled corned beef, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing with the PepperJax signature philly set-up.

PEPERJAX PUT THEIR OWN TWIST ON THE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK.

Unlike the East coast, PepperJax uses a Swiss/American blend for their philly cheese option. It comes standard on all phillies unless requested otherwise. They also have cheddar and pepperjack cheese sauce options that can be added as an upcharge if guests prefer.

Each philly cheesesteak is served up on a freshly toasted, authentic hoagie roll. As most know, the bread is an important piece to any philly experience. PepperJax gets it right with theirs and stuck to the east coast to provide. Their bread comes from a family-owned bakery in Philadelphia giving guests a truly authentic experience for the philly cheesesteak in the mid-west.

THE THRILL OF THE GRILL

PepperJax gives fresh a whole new meaning with the use of their grill. Every entree is grilled to-order with PepperJax’ own seasoning. Guests can choose to add onion, mushroom, green pepper, jalapeno, or banana peppers. If you’re into spice, try it with fireball! The grill cook will saute your meat and veggies in jalapeno juice for a little extra kick.

FUN FACT: The fireball process was invented by team members in the early days.

When PepperJax started, some team members noticed that the excess juice from the jalapenos wasn’t being used. They had the idea to try and find a way to use it and the idea to cook with it was presented. Once it hit the grill, the rest was history, and the PepperJax Fireball was born. It’s worth a try if you’re into the heat.

The philly cheesesteak is a must-try at PepperJax. It’s the house recommendation and a necessity to try in person. Sure, it’s the days of delivery and social distancing but nothing beats a philly hot off their grill and if you have the opportunity, take it!

National Cheesesteak Day is Thursday, March 24th and PepperJax is celebrating with a BOGO 1/2 off on all of their philly cheesesteaks. The offer is valid in-store, online, and in their app with promo code.
